Production
Once you have chosen which apparel items you want manufactured, the production process begins. We utilize some of the highest quality factories in the world. And once your product has been produced, our freight and transportation team will ensure that your shipment is delivered directly to you (on time and on budget).
We can also provide you with custom-printed polybags while accommodating UPC code, box size, and marking requirements.
Given the unreliable track record of some organizations that ship worldwide, we ensure that our transportation teams maintain constant communication with our clients from the time your goods are shipped from the manufacturing facility to when they arrive at the port of entry or requested delivery address. We facilitate all customs arrangements so the only legwork required of our clients is a phone call or e-mail for up-to-date order statuses.
Although it may differ slightly based upon clients' apparel orders, the general procedure for production and manufacturing is as follows:
Requirements & Lead Times
Approved Sample Usually of available fabric for overall styling and general appearance.
Fabric Quality Reference Submittal - Usually for fabric reference only and may not be in actual color if not available.
Lab Dips - Lab recipes for the color approval needed. A visual approval under a daylight filter is usually requested as all manufacturing facilities have light boxes.
Fit Sample - Available closest to fabric and for general fit approval purposes and is usually in size 'large.'
Trim Approval Cards - This includes buttons, zippers, zipper pulls, embroideries, main label, hangtags, etc. Keep in mind that these approval cards don't usually come all at once; they are sent to you once they are received from the various trim providers.
Pre-Production Approval Sample - This includes all trims and fabrics and specs to actual production. It is done on a sample line for approval prior to production. Approval is required within 24 hours to avoid production delays.
Production Pull Sample - This explains what is going in the boxes for shipments. Our quality control staff pulls the data during the first 5% of production.
Fabric Selection Let us know if you would like a specific fabric or material you want incorporated into your apparel designs (e.g., cotton, fleece, nylon, denim, leather, suede, etc.). Custom apparel can incorporate a combination of fabrics or materials to create unique designs or purpose. Fabric selection is based upon a variety of factors: special fabrication want or need, pricing objectives, lead-time requirements, fabric for the product design, etc.
